The VEYM of Canada is also associated with the international Eucharistic Youth Movement (EYM, a branch of formerly known as the Apostleship of Prayer) to promote the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, an official pontifical service under the Holy See.

Morning Prayer

Bless the Lord, all his works,
praise and exalt him for ever.
Bless the Lord, you heavens;
all his angels, bless the Lord.
Daniel 3

Live the Eucharist day

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

“O Lord, my heart is restless until I rests in you.” (St. Augustine)

Night Prayer

Canticle
Save us, Lord, while we are awake; protect us while we sleep; that we may keep watch with Christ and rest with him in peace.

My VEYM way of life

I’ve been a part of VEYM for as long as I can remember.  The people who are a part of this group, the people who I call my family, have taught me and guided me to be the best version of myself. I can only recall the best moments of my life with this group of extraordinary people. I’ve learned to overcome my hardships and have transformed myself to be a good member of society and a well rounded Catholic. Thanks to the kind and helpful Youth Leaders, I’ve also learned that by being like Jesus doesn’t mean just reading the bible or going to mass. It’s to live His Good Word and spread it to others.

I’ve been a part of VEYM for as long as I can remember.  The people who are a part of this group, the people who I call my family, have taught me and guided me to be the best version of myself. I can only recall the best moments of my life with this group of extraordinary people. Because of these amazing people, I strive to be the best me possible and set goals for myself to be like them. I’ve learned to overcome my hardships and have transformed myself to be a good member of society and a well rounded Catholic. With the help of the friendly and supportive Youth Leaders, I learned that I can still be happy even in the presence of adversity and that I should be happy with the outcomes of my life. I was taught to cooperate with God’s Plan, because he has a plan for everyone. This has made me more acceptance and appreciative of life and God’s creation. I’ve learned to respect, love, and protect all life and all of God’s creation. Most of all however, I realized that to really be like Jesus, I have to imitate him and apply his teachings to all aspects of my life. This includes being kind to others, loving everyone no matter what they look like or who they are, and treating others with respect. VEYM and the wonderful people involved in it taught me this.

To whom I can be of services

Each individual's mission is to provide services within their capability

Shelter the homeless

And Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” (Luke 9:58)

Clothes the naked

11 And he would answer and say to them, “The man who has two tunics is to share with him who has none; and he who has food is to do likewise.” (Luke 3:11)

Comfort the sick

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ (Matthew 25:35-36)
